Arts Month in the Pikes Peak region is just 30 days away! Are you ready? Hundreds of cultural events and activities will be happening across our community in Theatre & Film, Visual Arts, Music & Dance, and Poetry, Prose & Comedy, plus all kinds of creative fun that doesn’t fit neatly into any category other than – Wow! This year’s challenge is to “have one new cultural experience with friends or family during the month of October.”Here’s how you can engage:

2015-2016 Peak Radar Pages now available online
Today, COPPeR and The Colorado Springs Business Journal release the digital edition of the 2015-2016 Peak Radar Pages, the most comprehensive directory to arts and cultural groups ever produced, featuring 400 listings! Print editions will be available mid-September.
COPPeR produces this guide each year and distributes 5,000 free copies to help residents & tourists connect with the arts in El Paso & Teller counties. New this year, our partnership with CSBJ means that an additional 2,000 copies will be distributed as an insert to their readership.

Over the summer, COPPeR received input from over 700 community members as part of our strategic planning process. People from across El Paso and Teller counties attended focus groups and arts partner meetings, completed an online survey, or spoke to us personally. Thank you for your passionate, insightful, and encouraging input into the future of COPPeR and the creative sector of the Pikes Peak region. We are listening.
The COPPeR Board of Directors is continuing working with our local consultant to review and synthesize your input, in order to develop a formal 5-year strategic plan that will guide our work going forward. We hope that our new strategic plan will be officially released to the general public during Arts Month this October.
